To Buddy, With Love…

A friends dog, Buddy, left last night. Buddy was in the their family longer then than the age of Neal’s son, Liam, who is now in the third grade.

When Liam was a baby I went to visit his family. Liam lay on the floor with Buddy nearby. As I quickly reached for Liam, Buddy snapped at my neck. Though he stopped about 4 inches away from my throat I could feel the energy of him completing the process. Mouth clamped around my throat. Teeth sinking into my neck and ripping out my muscles and jugular vein

I sat there stunned at the fierce love this animal had not only for Liam but also for his parents, Neal and Meghan.

Buddy lived and loved.
As protector and good friend.
Tender are our hearts
